LAGOS/Nigeria: The Consul-General of the United States Embassy in Nigeria, Joellen Gorg, has lauded the Olusegun Obasanjo Leadership Institute (OOLI) as a beacon of transformational leadership and ethical governance, describing it as a lasting legacy of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Speaking during a high-level engagement with the institute’s representatives and stakeholders, Gorg praised OOLI’s mission to nurture leaders capable of tackling complex global challenges while preserving Africa’s heritage and intellectual capital.

“OOLI represents a forward-thinking platform that not only champions ethical leadership in Africa but also fosters dialogue and collaboration across borders,” Gorg said. “I fully embrace the vision behind its founding and welcome future partnerships to broaden its international reach.”

She disclosed that discussions are underway to explore joint initiatives that will enhance the institute’s influence and embed global best practices into its leadership programmes.

Responding, OOLI’s Deputy Chief Executive, Prof. Adedeji Daramola, thanked the consul-general for the recognition, reaffirming the institute’s dedication to raising a new generation of servant-leaders anchored in integrity, innovation, and resilience.
