ASABA/Nigeria: The Indomitable Class of 1998, Department of Mass Communication, Delta State University, Abraka, is set to converge on Asaba, the Delta State capital, for a three-day reunion holding from Friday, October 3 to Sunday, October 5, 2025.

With the theme “Reconnect, Relive, and Reunite,” the gathering promises to rekindle nostalgia, strengthen bonds, and celebrate shared memories nearly three decades after graduation.

Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke, who is Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, said the event will feature a business session and a fiesta designed to showcase the successes of members in different walks of life.

He attributed the accomplishments of the class to divine grace, noting that its members have excelled across public service, business, academia, media, and politics, both in Nigeria and abroad.

“The reunion provides a valuable opportunity for us to reconnect and strengthen our bond, 27 years after graduating,” Nwaeke said. “We are called the Indomitable Class because we dominated our world during our time at Abraka. I am not sure any class can beat our records in academics, unionism, politics, and other areas.”

He recalled that the Class of ’98 produced some of the most influential student leaders of their era, including a Students’ Union Government President, Secretary-General, Public Relations Officer, and Senate Representative.

The Planning Committee therefore urged members and friends to be part of the celebration, describing the reunion as a chance to relive the vibrant campus life of their youth while looking ahead to stronger collaboration in the years to come.

“Let’s make this reunion one to cherish,” Nwaeke added.
