High Chief (Dr.) Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo,

ASABA/Nigeria: High Chief (Dr.) Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, widely known as Tompolo, on Thursday underscored his dedication to peace, collaboration, and sustainable development in Delta State as he officially launched the Delta State Security Trust Fund at the Government House, Asaba.

Speaking in his capacity as Chief Launcher, Tompolo described the initiative as a “strategic investment in peace, progress, and the protection of lives and property.” He praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the State Security Council for their visionary leadership in establishing a public–private partnership framework aimed at addressing emerging security challenges across the state.

“Security is the cornerstone of sustainable development. No community, no investor, and indeed no government can thrive in an atmosphere of insecurity,” Tompolo emphasized, adding that the Fund represents more than just financial support—it is a long-term commitment to a safer and more secure Delta.

Drawing from his experience in security operations across the Niger Delta region, Tompolo highlighted the need for both resources and collaboration among all stakeholders. He called on citizens, business leaders, and community organizations to actively support the Fund, stressing that its success depends on collective responsibility and sincerity.

Pledging his personal support, Tompolo described his contribution as more than monetary, framing it as a pledge of continued partnership and engagement toward a peaceful and prosperous Delta State. He expressed optimism that, through unity of purpose, the state could become a place “where people live without fear, where children can dream freely, and where development flourishes without hindrance.”

The launch drew top government officials, security chiefs, traditional rulers, and business leaders, marking Tompolo’s first major public appearance in more than a decade and attracting widespread attention from across the Niger Delta region.
