PORT HARCOURT/Nigeria: A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has congratulated former Governor of Rivers State and ex-Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Barr. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, on his latest academic milestone in the field of law.
In a statement made available to the media, Eze disclosed that Amaechi recently earned a Master’s degree in International Corporate and Commercial Law from King’s College, London, adding that the former governor is scheduled to receive his certificate on February 1, 2025.
According to him, Amaechi embarked on his formal legal training shortly after leaving office as Minister in the administration of the late President Muhammadu Buhari.
Eze noted that Amaechi obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Baze University, Abuja, in November 2022, proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
He said the new Master’s degree further enriches Amaechi’s already impressive academic record, which dates back to 1987 when he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Studies and Literature from the University of Port Harcourt, where he also served as President of the National Union of Rivers State Students.
The APC stalwart described Amaechi’s commitment to continuous learning as a reflection of his lifelong dedication to self-improvement, noting that his achievement gives practical meaning to the adage that “learning never ends.”
Eze commended the former governor for setting a worthy example for young people to embrace education as a vital tool for knowledge, personal development, societal relevance and global awareness.
