UGHELLI/Nigeria: The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State has activated its full political machinery across Delta Central Senatorial District ahead of the official declaration of Senator Ede Dafinone, in what is shaping up to be a major show of strength for the party.
The directive, issued by the State Vice Chairman and Chairman of Delta Central, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, calls for the mobilisation of party executives at all levels to converge in Ughelli on Sunday, April 26, 2026, for the high-stakes political event.
In a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo Esq., the party formally invited State Working Committee members and State Executive Committee members from Delta Central, alongside all Local Government Area chairmen and their executive teams across the eight councils in the district.
The invitation also extends to ward chairmen and their executives, underscoring the APC’s intention to ensure widespread grassroots participation and unity across the senatorial district.
Scheduled to hold at Oharisi Primary School, Ughelli, by 1:00 p.m., the declaration is expected to attract a large gathering of party faithful, leaders, and supporters, positioning it as a defining political moment in Delta Central.
The party described the event as a rallying point for cohesion and renewed commitment to its political vision, urging stakeholders to turn out in large numbers.
“Your presence at this important gathering will be highly appreciated as we come together in unity and support for the continued progress and victory of our great party in Delta Central,” the statement read.
