
ABUJA/Nigeria: Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across Delta Central and Nigeria as they celebrate this year’s Eid al-Adha, urging them to uphold the virtues of peace, sacrifice, compassion and national unity.
Dafinone, in a goodwill message personally signed by him, called on Nigerians to embrace the spirit of love, tolerance and collective responsibility, stressing that the nation’s progress depends on peaceful coexistence and a shared commitment to the common good.
The lawmaker described Eid al-Adha as a sacred period that reflects the enduring values of faith, obedience and total devotion to God as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, noting that the celebration offers an opportunity for reflection, gratitude and renewed dedication to values that strengthen families, communities and the nation.
He urged Muslim faithful to use the occasion to deepen acts of kindness and generosity, especially towards the less privileged, while promoting unity across ethnic and religious lines.
“As we celebrate, I urge us all to embrace the spirit of peace, compassion, generosity, and unity that defines Eid al-Adha. Let us continue to show love to one another, support those in need, and uphold mutual respect regardless of ethnic or religious differences,” he stated.
Senator Dafinone commended the Muslim community in Delta Central for their contributions to peace, development and social harmony in the district, describing their resilience, enterprise and commitment to peaceful coexistence as invaluable to the growth of the region.
He reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive representation, assuring constituents of his continued support for programmes and initiatives aimed at empowering youths, strengthening families and improving livelihoods across communities in Delta Central.
The senator also urged Nigerians not to lose hope despite prevailing national challenges, emphasizing the need for unity, patience and collective efforts in building a stronger and more prosperous country.
“At this important moment in our national journey, I encourage all Nigerians to remain hopeful, united, and steadfast. Though challenges remain, we must continue to support one another and work collectively towards building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous nation for generations to come,” he added.
