
ASABA/Nigeria: Member representing Oshimili South Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Bridget Anyafulu, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Oshimili South and across Delta State on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging them to sustain prayers for peace, unity and national progress.
In a goodwill message issued on Wednesday, the lawmaker described Eid-el-Kabir as a sacred celebration that reflects the enduring virtues of obedience, sacrifice and unwavering faith in God.
Anyafulu noted that the festival provides an opportunity for deeper reflection on the values of love, compassion and selflessness, stressing that such virtues remain essential in building stronger, peaceful and more united communities.
She called on Muslim faithful to continue offering prayers for stability and development in Oshimili South, Delta State and Nigeria, emphasizing that the country needs collective commitment and spiritual support to overcome present challenges.
According to her, Eid-el-Kabir goes beyond festivities, serving as a reminder of the timeless lessons of sacrifice, devotion and obedience to God which should guide daily living.
The lawmaker also encouraged increased acts of charity and support for the less privileged, urging Muslims to extend kindness and assistance to vulnerable members of society during the celebration.
“Let us use this period to show love to one another, care for the vulnerable, and strengthen the bonds that unite us as one people, regardless of faith or background,” she stated.
Anyafulu further appealed to residents to promote peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance, noting that harmony among diverse groups remains critical to sustainable development and social progress.
