OBINNOMBA/Nigeria: The family of Mrs. Nnenna Nwanwene, who died at the age of 45, has announced arrangements for her burial in Obinomba, Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State.
Nwanwene, whose maiden name was Ekwueme, died on May 9, 2026. According to the funeral arrangements released by the family, she will be buried on Saturday, August 15, following funeral rites in Lagos and Delta State.
She is survived by her husband, Engr. Paul U. Nwanwene, as well as her children, siblings and other members of the family.
The funeral programme will commence on Tuesday, August 11, with a Service of Songs at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Life Place Zonal Headquarters, No. 4, Road 2, Ikota Villa Estate, beside Mega Chicken, Ikota, Lekki-Ajah, Lagos. The service is scheduled for 4 p.m.
The final burial rites will be held in Obinomba on Saturday. Her remains are expected to leave Veenell Hospital Mortuary, Warri, at 7 a.m. for the community.
The body will be received at the compound of Engr. C.N. Nwanwene in Obinomba, where it will lie in state from 9 a.m.
A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Kings Arena Mega Parish, Utagbe-Uno Road, Obinomba. Interment will take place immediately after the service at the family compound.
The family will conclude the funeral programme on Sunday, August 16, with a Thanksgiving Service at 9 a.m. at the RCCG Kings Arena Mega Parish, Utagbe-Uno Road, Obinomba.
