CAPE TOWN/South Africa : TM PUBLISHERS group is embarking on a new venture to partner with other media outlets to grow the standard of journalism and media impact in Africa and across the globe.
TM PUBLISHERS owns multiple news sites including Africa Biz (http://africa-biz.blogspot.com; The African Recorder (http://theafricanrecorder.blogspot.com and Choose N Grow ( https://choosengrow.blogspot.com).
Combined, these blogs have a viewership of more than 1 000 000 today and are fast growing.
According to the TM PUBLISHERS Team (https://tm-publishers.myshopify.com/collections/all), the 21st Century has provided the media industry with new opportunities and challenges.
“The struggles faced by print media in Africa and the world have caused major obstacles in educating, informing and entertaining readers across the board. However, the digital media space has seen great growth in the same period.
It therefore becomes a great necessity to look at other methods and models that could not just save journalism but make it thrive in educating, informing and entertaining people in Africa and in the world.”
TM PUBLISHERS was established in 2016 with the aim of building a strong media group that will serve as an alternative to the dominant players of the media industry in Africa and elsewhere.
“The mission is that a broader content creation and distribution machine is vital for advancing democracy and empowering various segments of society especially in underserved communities and regions,” notes TM PUBLISHERS.
For this objective to be realized, TM PUBLISHERS says partnering with new and small media groups would enable these organisations to share content, resources and ideas on how to grow the media industry for the benefit of the whole society.
“From our research, we have identified that the reason many new and small media groups are battling either to survive or, like others, have actually closed down, is because of working in silos, rather than as partners.”
TM PUBLISHERS adds it has grown tremendously from its association with globally recognised media institutions like the African Press Organisation (APO) from their well-informing news network and wide variety of content on the ‘ins’ and ‘outs’ of the media landscape.
“What APO is doing and has achieved must be spreaded all across the media and entertainment space, according to TM PUBLISHERS, “with APO and now TM PUBLISHERS expansion, a new dawn has arrived for the media and entertainment space in mother Africa and across the world”.
TM PUBLISHERS continues, the time has come for media collaborations and cooperations to expand into more officialised partnerships rather than just sharing content.
“There has to be a more businesslike approach in the manner we relate to each other in the media and entertainment space.
We need to be a media and entertainment movement that works together to fill and close the gaps that traditional media houses have left unfilled.
A lot of communities, sectors and players in our society are still neglected, forgotten and under-reported in the media and that can’t be the way forward in creating a brighter future for all people,” says TM PUBLISHERS
“Media diversity and inclusivity is what we are all about at TM PUBLISHERS.”
The success of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the festivities around the tournament have proven that with a well coordinated strategy billions of people around the world can engage, view and stream any event and product that is well packaged and presented.
“That’s the attitude and spirit TM PUBLISHERS is approaching this partnership proposal to the media and entertainment space and any other sectors interested to become partners of the TM PUBLISHERS.”
Other options for possible partnerships include; Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), equal partnership or majority ownership, everything is subject to negotiations.
“We are prepared to start your group’s section, ads & advertorials in all our three blogs if you are interested,” concluded TM PUBLISHERS.
