ASABA/Nigeria: The Action Peoples Party (APP) has emerged victorious in 22 out of 23 local government areas in the recently concluded Rivers State local government elections.
Justice Adolphus Enebeli, Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), announced the results on Saturday in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
However, the result for Etche Local Government Area was withheld due to ongoing collation. Justice Wagbara stated that the outcome for Etche LGA, along with the 319 councillorship positions across the state, would be announced at a later date.
