ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Adult and Non Formal Education has organised its Annual General meeting Adult and Non-Formal Education meeting with supervisors from all Local Government Areas in the state
The meeting which was held in Asaba was designed to interface with the stakeholders on the need for them to scale up their performance.
Speaking at the meeting, the Director, Adult and Non-Formal Education Agency, Asaba Mrs. Hope Igumbor stated that the meeting was put together to brainstorm on the need to enhance performance of the centres supervisions facilitator and the inspectors from the Agency.
Mrs. Hope Igumbor charged them to ensure adequate registration of learners’ centres and facilitators.
She also requested the supervisor to ensure that their centres are accredited and properly registered for External Exams like BECE, SSCE and NECO.
She directed that all the instructional materials sent to them are adequately distributed to the Adult Learners to achieve the desire results.
In their separate remarks, supervisors from Ethiope East; Joseph Esiedesa and Ijeoma Chika stated that they had a lot of programmes, adding that in implementing the programme there was some setbacks which they encountered.
Mrs. Ijeoma also narrated the difficulties she passed through in the process of registration and expressed appreciation to the agency for meeting just as she noted that forum had afforded them the opportunity of discussing their problems and the assurance of support given to them by the Agency at all times .
It could be recalled that all the supervisors were requested to ensure that the facilitators in all LGA, names and details were endorsed by HOD, Education.
