ASABA/Nigeria: Government Ekpemupolo, widely known as Tompolo, made a striking return to the public eye on Thursday after more than a decade of relative seclusion, serving as Chief Launcher of the Delta State Security Trust Fund at a ceremony held at the Government House, Asaba.
The event, presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, attracted top government officials, security chiefs, traditional rulers, and key stakeholders from across Delta State, marking Tompolo’s first formal engagement with the state government in years and drawing wide attention from political observers and community leaders alike.
The Delta State Security Trust Fund, an initiative of the Oborevwori administration, is designed to mobilize resources for strengthening security infrastructure, enhancing intelligence gathering, and improving coordination among security agencies throughout the state.
In his address, Governor Oborevwori described Tompolo’s presence as a clear demonstration of solidarity, partnership, and commitment to peace and security in the Niger Delta.
