ASABA/Nigeria: The Director-General of the Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has once again congratulated Senator Ighoyota Amori, Ph.D., on his appointment as Chief Adviser to the Executive Governor of Delta State.
During a courtesy visit to Chief Amori’s office, Dr. Oghenesivbe led the Orientation Bureau’s management team to discuss government policies, programmmes, and achievements. The meeting was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the Chief Adviser’s office and the Bureau to enhance public engagement on the state’s development agenda.
Senator Amori reaffirmed the critical role of his office in providing well-researched advice to the Governor and ensuring that government initiatives reach all parts of the state. He particularly commended Dr. Oghenesivbe for championing the “Drug Free Delta Campaign,” describing it as a necessary intervention to protect the youth from the dangers of drug abuse.
Amori stressed that while drug use may create temporary euphoria, the long-term consequences are devastating. He called on parents, guardians, and community leaders to partner with the government in sensitizing young people about the risks of substance abuse. “The campaign requires collective effort, and we must all play our part in securing a better future for our youths,” he said.
Dr. Oghenesivbe, in response, expressed gratitude to Chief Amori for his unwavering support and acknowledged his vast experience in governance and party leadership. He assured that the Orientation Bureau would sustain its advocacy efforts, including the “Delta Value Charter,” a new initiative aimed at creating a value-driven society for all Deltans.
The meeting, described as cordial and productive, marked the beginning of a strategic partnership between the Chief Adviser’s office and the Orientation Bureau. With their combined expertise, both offices are set to drive meaningful development and ensure that government policies resonate with the people of Delta State.
