ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Godknows Angele, has lauded the dramatic transformation of Delta Mortgage Trust Bank Limited, describing the institution’s revival under its Chairman, Chief Jude Ogbimi, as a compelling example of focused and visionary leadership.

During an official inspection tour of the bank’s facilities, Angele expressed astonishment at the level of progress recorded, declaring that he was “shocked to his bold marrow” by the sweeping improvements in infrastructure, staff discipline, and corporate efficiency. “I never expected less from a man like Jude Ogbimi, but what I’ve seen is far beyond expectations. This is a true testament to focused and sincere leadership,” the commissioner remarked.

The inspection visit formed part of Angele’s ongoing oversight functions in line with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration’s broader agenda to revamp key institutions supporting housing and mortgage development in Delta State. He noted that the revitalization of the bank aligns with the governor’s commitment to institutional reform, improved service delivery, and financial stability in the public sector.

Interacting with management and staff, Angele observed that the bank now reflects a culture of order, professionalism, and strategic purpose that should serve as a benchmark for other public finance institutions across the state. “This is a working example of how leadership driven by purpose can change the story of public institutions,” he stated.

He specifically commended the leadership style of Chief Ogbimi, attributing the success of the bank to the chairman’s insistence on integrity, innovation, and accountability. Angele maintained that the Delta Mortgage Trust Bank is now a reference point for what is possible when public-owned institutions are managed with commitment and competence.

The commissioner further encouraged the staff to sustain the current standards and redouble their efforts in delivering on the bank’s mandate. According to him, the institution now plays a pivotal role in the government’s strategic objective to expand access to affordable housing and promote financial inclusion.

The visit ended with a vote of confidence in the management team, as Angele assured them of the government’s continued support for institutions that demonstrate value-driven service and result-oriented governance.
