ASABA/Nigeria: The Odu Oma Club of Nigeria has extended warm congratulations to Senator Ned Nwoko and members of the technical committee on the creation of Anioma State, commending what it described as significant strides made toward realizing the long-standing aspiration for Anioma to become Nigeria’s 37th state.
In an official statement jointly signed by its President, Mr. Patrick Ogbogu Okenyi; Secretary, Mr. Uche Emma Aboh; and Publicity Secretary, Dr. C.C. Nwayalani, the club lauded the senator representing Delta North and the committee for their tireless efforts and unwavering dedication.
The group also acknowledged and praised all stakeholders who made impactful submissions at the recent South-South Zonal Public Hearing in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, describing the renewed push for Anioma State as a product of “clear articulation and united voices.”
“The renewed call for Anioma State, backed by clear articulation and united voices, is a testament to the resilience and unity of our people,” the statement read.
Founded over 45 years ago, the Odu Oma Club of Nigeria has been at the forefront of advocacy for the creation of Anioma State. It reaffirmed its strong commitment to the realization of the dream, describing the ongoing efforts as one anchored on fairness, equity, justice, and rightful inclusion within the Nigerian federation.
“This milestone is not just a political achievement, but a historic testament to the enduring will of Anioma sons and daughters,” the group declared.
The club expressed confidence that with continued strategic dialogue, wide consultations, and a common vision among all stakeholders, the Anioma State dream would soon become a reality.
It concluded by offering renewed congratulations to Senator Prince Ned Nwoko, the technical committee, and all contributors to what it termed “a great and noble cause.”
