Anti-Corruption: Delta Deputy Speaker Bags ICPC/NACC Award

ASABA/Nigeria: The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, and the National Anti-Corruption Corps, NACC, had recognised the contribution of the Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Christopher Ochor Ochor, for his transparency in government, and integrity, in a ceremony in his office in Asaba, on December 9, 2020.

The National Coordinator, Com Frank Omoile Onyeka, who was represented by Com Vincent Obuka, in conferring the award on the Deputy Speaker, said the award is part of the 2020 Anti-Corruption day ceremony, conferred on deserving Nigerians annually, on the 9th of December, a day set aside by the United Nations to honour men and women of transparency, and integrity.

He stated that the NACC deemed it fit to honour the Deputy Speaker, because of his track records in the fight against corruption in Nigeria, particularly in Delta State.

The National Coordinator, further stated that the award was to further appreciate him for his high degree of integrity demonstrated in situations and projects, in private and public work space.

Responding, the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon Christopher Ochor Ochor, who was highly elated thank the ICPC/NACC for the recognition, and promised to continue to uphold and encourage policies, and actions that will make Nigeria a much better society.
