ASABA/Nigeria: An All-Progressives Congress (APC) leader in Delta North, Chief Emmanuel Eboh, has cautioned former local government chairman, Hon. Louis Ndukwe, over his recent remarks declaring that Senator Ned Nwoko would not return to the Senate in 2027.

Reacting to Ndukwe’s statement, Chief Eboh described the criticism as baseless, ill-conceived, and a distortion of the senator’s outstanding performance in the National Assembly.

According to the APC stalwart, “Hon. Ndukwe overreached himself as an ordinary mortal who has no power to determine tomorrow. He cannot play God because Senator Nwoko’s political future is not in his hands.”

Eboh commended Senator Nwoko for what he described as “exceptional and effective representation of the Delta North people,” saying his legislative achievements and developmental interventions speak volumes.

“Contrary to Ndukwe’s wild claims, Senator Nwoko has been exemplary in his legislative duties, showing commitment to the wellbeing of our people,” Eboh said. “He ranks among lawmakers with the highest number of bills and motions in the Senate, and his representation has earned widespread admiration across Delta North.”

He added that Nwoko’s impact extends beyond lawmaking. “Senator Nwoko has gone the extra mile to attract roads, solar streetlights, and water projects to several communities. Over a thousand constituents have benefited from skill acquisition programmes he initiated, targeting youths and women, while regular health schemes are ongoing in various wards,” Eboh stated.

Highlighting the senator’s empowerment initiatives, the APC leader revealed that “about a dozen youth leaders from the nine local government areas of Delta North are currently being sponsored to China for specialized vocational training, courtesy of Senator Nwoko’s vast international contacts. These are verifiable facts, not empty talks.”

Speaking on the renewed push for Anioma State creation, Chief Eboh lauded Nwoko for championing a cause rooted in history and identity. “The senator deserves commendation, not meaningless attacks. His devotion to the Anioma cause is driven by sincerity and selflessness. He has continued to commit his personal resources, time, and integrity to the struggle,” he said.

Eboh added that those who pioneered the movement decades ago—such as Sir Dennis Osadebay, Senator Nosike Ikpo, and Obi Professor Chike Edozien—would be proud of Nwoko’s efforts to preserve Anioma heritage for future generations.

He further berated Ndukwe for “recklessly dabbling into Senator Nwoko’s private and marital matters,” calling such behaviour irresponsible and unbecoming of a former public officer.

“Only a jobless person would poke into issues completely outside his household,” Eboh said, urging Ndukwe to focus on meaningful endeavours rather than personal attacks.

Chief Eboh concluded by calling on the people of Delta North to continue supporting Senator Nwoko, describing him as “a true reflection of their yearnings, aspirations, and collective pride.”
