APC IS Gathering of Jokers, Rabble Rousers – Delta PDP

ASABA/Nigeria:  The last may not had been heard the All Progressive Congress, (APC), Delta and the ruling party in the state, the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) on the outcome of the last Saturday Local Government in Election organised by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, (DESIEC), which the opposition party since the day of the election at different press releases, accused the state government, and the PDP of rigging the election.

In reaction to the various media publications, the Delta PDP, through its State Publicity Secretary, Mr Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, has called the opposition APC as a gathering of jokers, and unfortunate politicians, who seek for aspiration and ambitions beyond and above their individual and collective capacities.

“APC in Delta State is a gathering of jokers, rabble rousers, unfortunate politicians and failed seekers of aspirations and ambitions beyond and above their individual and collective capacities and capabilities”.

The statement which stressed that the opposition party is dancing naked in the sun after resounding defeat in the council pools, said that they would had used the energy used to draft such a press statement to reengineer the party, and understudy the political strategy of the PDP.

“The psychological energy and obviously tedious but still illiterate intellectual effort expended…. would have been better engaged and utilized by setting up an advanced analytical team to understudy, evaluate and appreciate the tactical and strategic political brilliance of the PDP in Delta State elections”

.the statement pointed out that the political maxim that you only win election where you are popular played out in the last LGA election in the state.

“There is a political maxim that you only win elections where you are popular and this truism has been reflected in all the polls conducted in Delta State and underscored the glaring fact that in electoral matters in Delta State, the PDP is king”.

The statement further pointed out that contrarily to the APC that the election was a sham, as electoral materials never arrived early, including sensitive materials, is not true, as reports from the field and election observers confirmed the arrival of materials.

“Their claim that sensitive election materials were not delivered as expected to most polling units where elections were to take place is absolutely false and misleading. Our monitoring team as well as accredited election monitors and observers have confirmed that both sensitive and non sensitive election materials were appropriately delivered to designated polling units and delineated election areas.”

The party called the insunation that materials were either hijacked or re-directed as untrue, but a statement to deceive the people, as majority of the voters across the state was duly accredited with their Personal Voters Card, as they asked,

“How come the majority of the voters across the state were duly accredited with their Personal Voters Cards, PVCs and manual voters register; properly registered as eligible to vote and proceeded to thumb print on the boldly displayed symbol of their preferred political parties on the officially approved ballot paper for the election before dropping the ballot paper in the designated transparent ballot boxes for specific offices”.

It also in the statement questioned the claim that Results Sheets were different from the one earlier introduced by the commission, as all party have accredited agents, who supervised and signed all the relevant documents immediately results were declared.

The party accused the opposition party of being behind the incident of arson in Ughelli North, where the DSIEC office was burnt, when they realised that PDP was poised to win in the election, as the action was nothing but to ensure people of Ughelli north are deprived of voting.

The statement pointed out that the victory of the party was the evident of the massive campaign of the PDP, which continued its mobilisation with the door to door campaign to garner votes for the parties’ candidates.

“It is also on record that even after the comprehensive Local Government Areas campaigns had ended, the PDP continued with ward to ward, community to community, house to house and even the very personal person to person “mosquito” campaigns, to ensure that every door was knocked on, every blade of grass covered”.

It wondered why the call for the cancellation of the entire election is a distraction to discerning Deltans.
