OSHOGBO/Nigeria: Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Delta State, Chief Sunny Onuesoke has described the outcome of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ward congresses across the country, as a sign of system failure of the ruling party.
Onuesoke made this known in media chat with newsmen in Osun State while reacting to the conduct and outcome of the APC ward congresses held across the country over the weekend after the PDP South West mega rally in Oshogbo.
“The violence, killings and brutality that characterized the conduct and the outcome of the ward congress of the ruling party is a sign of system failure within the structure of the party and the country if Nigerians allow APC to come back in 2019. This is just a prelude to the monumental collapse that will befall the APC if they go ahead with their planed national convention”
“No doubt, the outcome of the APC ward congresses across the country is a manifestation of the level of division, injustice and lack of internal democracy which has been the hallmark of the ruling party since its conception till date and this goes to show that all is not well with the ruling party, which is a further prove that APC as a party can no longer be trusted by Nigerians for another four years, How can we trust a party that is divided against itself”
Chief Sunny Onuesoke however Called on Nigerians to be ready to embrace The Peoples Democratic Party back to power come 2019, stating that PDP remains the best model for other party to emulate in terms of true democratic practice.
