APGA Adopts Solution Kindred Initiative to Strengthen Grassroots Mobilization in Anambra

AWKA/Nigeria: The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has intensified its grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2025 Anambra governorship election with the adoption of the Solution Kindred Initiative (SKI), a strategy designed to strengthen party presence at the community level.

Speaking at a stakeholders’ retreat for local government and ward chairmen in Awka, Anambra State Chairman of APGA, Chief Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, said the party was restructuring its campaign strategy to ensure a united front ahead of the election. He described SKI, inaugurated on April 6, 2024, as a major milestone in grassroots engagement, aimed at taking the APGA message beyond wards and local governments to kindreds, known as Umunna, the foundational units of traditional governance. According to him, APGA’s presence in over 12,000 kindreds across the state would strengthen its electoral dominance.

Obi-Okoye emphasized the importance of party unity and synergy in implementing the strategy, stating that while Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s massive infrastructure development and reforms had garnered widespread support, the responsibility of mobilization rested on party stakeholders. “Let us put APGA on the lips of everyone in Anambra—every village, every kindred, and every household—so that our party will maintain its dominance and emerge victorious,” he said.

APGA National Chairman, Mr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa, commended Obi-Okoye for driving grassroots mobilization and praised Governor Soludo for fulfilling his campaign promises. He urged local government chairmen to replicate the governor’s efforts by initiating impactful projects in their communities. “The success of APGA depends on grassroots mobilization. A people-centered agenda by our LG chairmen will encourage more people to join and vote for our party,” he added.
