
LAGOS/Nigeria: His Royal Highness, Eze Dr. Chukwudi Okparaku, Eze Ndi Igbo of Abaranje/Okerube, has been awarded the prestigious St. Thomas More Medal of Honour by the Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos.
The honour, presented by Most Rev. Dr. Adewale Martins, Metropolitan Archbishop of Lagos, recognizes HRH Okparaku’s exceptional contributions to the growth of the Archdiocese.
Accepting the award at the Holy Cross Cathedral, HRH Eze Okparaku expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing his dedication to advancing the Archdiocese, Isolo Deanery, and St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Abaranje Ikotun, Lagos. He attributed his achievements to the values instilled by his father and thanked his wife, Ezinne Ugoeze Chizoba Okparaku, and children for their unwavering support.
The St. Thomas More Medal of Honour, named after the esteemed English humanist and Catholic saint, Sir Thomas More, is bestowed upon individuals who embody virtues such as integrity and commitment to faith and justice, resonating across academic and professional spheres.
HRH Eze Okparaku concluded with a pledge to continue inspiring fellow lay faithful in his faith journey.
