Arewa Journalists’ Forum Honours Senator Seriake Dickson for Exemplary Contributions

ABUJA/Nigeria: The Arewa Journalists’ Forum (AJF) has honoured Senator Seriake Dickson for his exceptional contributions to democracy, good governance, and his service to humanity.

Senator Dickson, who represents Bayelsa West Senatorial District, was singled out for this prestigious award due to his sincere and impactful contributions to national issues in a ceremony held in Abuja.

The national President of AJF, Hassan Galadima, highlighted Senator Dickson’s commitment to national development and described the honour as a means to encourage him to continue promoting sustainable democracy, good governance, and nation-building.

Galadima expressed the group’s joy at Senator Dickson’s acceptance of becoming one of their patrons, stating that they see him as a true Nigerian whose patriotism is unquestionable.

The AJF presented Senator Dickson with a plaque in recognition of his contributions to democracy, good governance, and service to humanity. The group reiterated their support for Senator Dickson and expressed their willingness to be involved in all his activities, considering him as one of their own.

“We of the Arewa Journalists Forum are here to present our plaque, in recognition of your contributions to democracy, good governance, and service to humanity. We are indeed grateful for accepting to become a patron.”

“Words alone cannot describe how grateful we are at this moment. But you can rest assured of our continued support in all your endeavourss. Feel free to involve us in all your activities, because from now on, we see you as one of our own.” The group’s President stated.

“We are also using this medium to hail his abilities in managing people and Bayelsa State politically, especially how he manages people and provides leadership with tolerance. This should be an example to others on what godfatherism should be,” Galadima remarked.

Senator Dickson, in his response, expressed gratitude to the AJF for finding him worthy of the honor. He promised to see the recognition as a further call to serve humanity, good governance, and democracy. He assured the group of his readiness to avail himself whenever his advice and patronage are needed.

“I thank members of the AJF for finding me worthy of this honor, and I promise to see the recognition as a further call to service to humanity, good governance, and democracy,” Senator Dickson stated.

The AJF, formed in 2007 at the Arewa House, is the umbrella body of the Northern Nigeria Journalists’ Forum aimed at promoting peace, security, and development across the country. With over one thousand members in almost all major local and international media houses, the forum plays a crucial role in fostering unity and progress in Nigeria.
