A man, 20 years old was recently stabbed to death in Kwale, the headquarters of Ndokwa West LGA by suspected cultists who were brandishing guns and other dangerous weapons.
According to Ndokwa Reporters correspondent in the area, members of rival cult groups were at each other’s neck. Some other eye witnesses who spoke to our correspondent said members of a particular cult were trying to elect new officers to head, but the decision was not agreed to by some members, who decided to attack fellow cult members, resulting in the death of the victim, who is suspected to be a member and supporter of the first camp.
Despite this argument, other people in Kwale according to our correspondent, said that two cult groups were engaged in a clash to revenge the killing of one of their members some time ago, and the victim was alleged fingered for the death and that was while they went after him, tracing him to where he resides and was stabbed to death after much arguments.
The police when contacted, confirmed the death of the victim, adding that the father of the deceased reported the matter at Kwale Police Station that some suspected cultists stormed their residence in Kwale and stabbed his 20 years old son to death.
The Delta State Police Command, Police Public Relations officer, DSP Charles Mba disclosed that three suspects believed to be behind the murder were arrested, and are under interrogation and investigation, with view to arrest others connected to the crime.
