In their bid to overcome the pains they undergo daily, commuters had expressed mixed feeling on the development, and had called on the Delta State Governor,  Senator Ifeanyi Okowa to ease the stress occasioned by the long trek that people have to walk to get to the designated point to enter tricycles (Keke) going to the next destination in Asaba.

The problem encountered by passengers since the Delta State Capital Development Agency (DSCTDA),in their operation sent the transporter parking from the two junctions (Summit and Coker) and drove them to the middle of the streets, thereby, causing passengers to walk very long distance to board a passenger vehicle into Asaba city center.

The citizens also complained that is stressful most especially when carrying luggages, especially now that it seems to rain frequently.

However, they said though its government decision, but the policy should have human face, even when some of agreed that it’s a good development because it makes the environment to look good and clean. But that the (DSCTDA) should have provided a place not too far for the transporter to stay instead of allowing passengers to do a long and stressful Walk.

Mr Samson who is a Keke rider (tricycle) in an interview said that the development is good because it makes the place to look clean and free but the only challenge is that commuters usually complain of the price after walking for a long distance before getting to the point to board another tricycle.

Miss Glory, also said that the long trek is a big challenge to her because carrying luggage from the junction to the Keke point is not easy, as a result of the long distance but she can’t question the Government.

According to Mr Moses who also saw it as a challenge when it all started said it is good because he is now used to it. And it makes the place look good and also avoid rush.

Mrs Chinwe, a trader said that the distance is too far, that if Government can bring it little closer to the junction so that it can be convenient for citizens because any time they are carrying luggage, they have to pay someone that will help them take their luggage to the Keke Stand making them to spend more money than expected.
