ASABA/Nigeria: The management of Asaba Specialist Hospital (ASH) has vehemently refuted circulating social media claims suggesting a staff member was involved in a purported rape case within the Pharmacy Section of the hospital.
In a statement issued and signed by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Peace Ighosewe, ASH clarified that no such incident of sexual assault against a patient by a pharmacy staff member had occurred.
Denouncing the reports as baseless and fabricated, the statement rebuked the origin as a mere ploy by a blogger seeking sensationalism to amplify online traction.
ASH’s management urged the public to disregard these erroneous allegations, labeling them as both malicious and without merit. Emphasizing the seriousness of the matter, they highlighted their cooperation with law enforcement agencies to investigate and identify the source behind the unfounded claims.
