Avoid Politics of Bitterness- Oyibode

Ahead of the 2015 general elections, a gubernatorial hopeful in Delta State, Hon. Ambassador Gabriel Oyibode, the founder of the Hon. Ambassador Gabriel Oghenevwegba Chukwuma Oyibode Foundation, a non governmental organization, has enjoined politicians in Nigeria to avoid politics of bitterness, rancour, scandal and obey the rule of law while   going   about   their    consultations.

Hon. Ambassador Oyibode who amongst his mammoth followers of Peoples Democratic Party faithfuls across the three senatorial districts of Delta State was on a state wide consultations to traditional rulers, elders, stakeholders of his party, advised Deltans to always play the game of politics according to the laid down procedures and never to see it asado-or-dieaffair.

In a chat with journalists at the palace of the Asagba of Asaba, Prof. Chike Edozien, the young and vibrant politician explained that his courtesy visit to the people of Delta State so far, has yielded a very positive result since he and his entourage so far have received an overwhelming welcome, with Deltans identifying him as their hope for 2015 to build upon the enviable legaciesof DrEmmanuelEwetaUduaghan.

He told newsmen that his visit was to consult with his good people of Delta State, and as well get their blessings for the race ahead as the gubernatorial hopeful come 2015, remarking that he regarded it so great an honour to be received by the Asagba of Asaba and other Deltans during the visits as he has never been disappointed in all his visits to the placestheyhavegonesofar.

Hon. Ambassador Oyibode assured Deltans that he would build upon the good foundation laid down by his predecessors and make Delta State citizens to be proud that they have a Governor who has the interest of his people at heart, remarking further that his transformation agenda will sweep across every part of the state, local government areas and  wards.

The humanitarian ambassador and philanthropist per-excellence called on Nigerians, to give the administration of Dr. Ebelle Goodluck Jonathan massive support so that he can actualize his dreams to the people, pointing out that the transformational agenda programmes of Mr President are peoples oriented, geared towards the improvement of the lives of all Nigerians.

The gubernatorial hopeful noted that what Nigerians needed at the moment is patience, understanding, love for one another, peaceful coexistence amongst themselves but not war or crisis, advising every citizen of the country irrespective of their religion or tribe to pray fervently for the country to attain the desired peace and the re-election bid of Mr President so that he can complete all his good programmes he has already enunciated for the bettermentof  allNigerians.

Meanwhile, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), women in the nine Local Government Areas of Delta North Senatorial District, have thrown their weight behind Ambassador Gabriel Oyibode’s governorship ambition   for the state come 2015.

The women gave their support for Ambassador Oyibode at the Ika National Hall, Agbor, Headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area of the state recently.

Speaking on behalf of the women at Ika National Hall, the co-ordinator/convener of the women, Hon. Maureen Oligie said that the support for Ambassador Oyibode was necessary because, according to her, only Oyibode would be able to sustain the landmarks development of the present state governor, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan in 2015 and
beyond.

The PDP women described Amb. Oyibode as a man of wisdom and a philanthropist, adding that he would put smiles on the faces of Deltans if given the mandate at the 2015 polls to governthestate.

Hon. Maureen Oligie pointed out that it ‘is’ the turn of Delta North to produce the next governor of the state, adding that the most qualified man for the exalted position of the governor is Ambassador Oyibode just as she described him as “an intelligent, generous, focused and refined young man who has all it takes to take the state to the next level of development”.

The co-ordinator, having highlighted all that gave Ambassador Oyibode more enabling considerations for governorship position more than his political rivals, called on Deltans especially, the people of Delta North Senatorial District to support Oyibode’s ambition.

The women also commended the State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan on the giant strides being taken in moving the state to the next level of development.
