Azu Family Announces Passing of Evangelist Mrs. Elizabeth Azu Ovwile at 71

EELUME/Nigeria: The Azu family of Elume Main Town in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State has announced, with deep sorrow and total submission to the will of God, the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Evangelist Mrs. Elizabeth Azu Ovwile.

Announcing the death on behalf of the family, Mr. Austin Azu, a Correspondent with News Central at Government House, Asaba, and a member of the Delta Online Publishers Forum as well as the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Delta State Chapter, said Mama Elizabeth passed on peacefully at the age of 71.

Evangelist Mrs. Elizabeth Azu Ovwile hailed from Elume Main Town, Sapele LGA, and was widely known as a devoted Christian and a woman of deep faith whose life was defined by service to God, family and humanity. Until her passing, she was an active and committed member of God’s Grace Ministry, where she served faithfully and touched many lives through prayer, counsel and selfless service.

She is survived by her children, including Mr. Austin Azu; Honourable Samuel Azu, Leader of the Sapele Legislative Arm; Rev. God’s Time Azu of God’s Grace Ministry; Akpuvie Azu; Happy Azu Omofuju; Victor Azu; Vera Aghogi; and Justice Azu. She was also a cherished grandmother whose values and virtues continue to live on through her children and grandchildren.

The family described Mama Elizabeth as a pillar of strength, humility and compassion, noting that her unwavering faith in God, love for family and commitment to service endeared her to many within and beyond her community.

Though deeply mourned, the family said her life remains a powerful testimony of grace, godliness and devotion to Christian values.
