Baadi: Let’s Celebrate Nwoko, Not Vilify Him—He Fought for Our Voice

ASABA/Nigeria: Prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and member of the Delta Unity Group (DUG), Chief Jude Baadi, has lauded Senator Ned Nwoko for fulfilling his campaign promise to actualize the long-awaited Aniocha North Constituency 2, describing the development as a landmark victory for justice, equity, and the affected communities.
Speaking during a live interview on Nol 24 TV, Chief Baadi commended the Delta North senator for his commitment to implementing the Supreme Court judgment that granted recognition to nine communities previously excluded from full legislative representation in the Delta State House of Assembly.
“Some politicians stood against the implementation of the judgment after it was delivered by the Supreme Court,” Baadi revealed. “But Senator Ned Nwoko made it clear from the onset that securing Aniocha North Constituency 2 would be his first legislative priority—and he delivered.”
Baadi emphasized that the decision paves the way for enhanced political inclusion, as the constituency is now expected to produce two members in the State Assembly by 2027.
“This is not just a political win—it’s a victory for justice and fairness,” he said. “Why can’t we give him credit for that? Ned Nwoko is a wonderful senator, and we owe him our support.”
Baadi also defended Nwoko’s style of leadership, describing him as a results-oriented politician who rises above pettiness to serve the people.
“He may not do things your way, but he gets them done,” Baadi said. “In a decent political environment, people like Senator Nwoko should be celebrated, not vilified. His focus is on improving the lives of our people. He’s not distracted by dirty politics.”
Reaffirming his unwavering support for Nwoko’s vision for Delta North, Baadi said the senator’s selflessness, courage, and integrity make him a rare asset in today’s political landscape.
“Everyone who knows him knows he means well for the people of Delta North,” he said. “We should give him all the support he needs to succeed.”
