AGBOR/Nigeria: The Obi of Owa, His Royal Majesty, Dr Emmanuel Efeizomor II has called on indigenes of Ika Land to be their brothers’ keeper describing unity of Ika people as paramount.
The Obi made the call at the 20th edition of Ogwa Ika organised by Onu Ika Nigeria held at Agbor Community Hall, Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to him, “We must continue to synergize to enable this wave of Ika declaration for unity to continue. We must task ourselves to come up with common course for the land.”
The Owa monarch noted that Ika people were very industrious and productive adding that with unity in place much could be achieved, observing that Ika was almost going in oblivion but for the effort of some sons and daughters the land has assumed it right place in the annals of history.
He called on every Ika indigene of voting age to go and register for their permanent voters’ card (PVC) saying that the import of PVC could not be over emphasised.
While describing the event as unprecedented following the presence of all the traditional rulers in Ika land, he commended the Onu Ika Nigeria for organising the program.
