UGHELLI/Nigeria: Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chieftain and convener of the New Nigeria movemen, Hon Ramsey Edigbue has described as rather too early for campaign in 2023 urging Deltans to be Wary of those endorsing candidates for the forthcoming election. According to Edigbue those claiming erroneous endorsement particularly from the Ijaw ethnic Nationality and stakeholders is just mere propaganda aimed at gaining support and popularity.
“As at now any aspirant peddling propaganda of endorsement is just doing it out of unseriousness and attempt to heat up the polity”.
Speaking to newsmen in Ughelli North about the right person to emerge in 2023 as governor, Comr Ramsey went further to describe the issue as distraction to the office of the Executive Governor Senator Ifeanyi Okowa “Okowa should be given breathing space to finish strong rather than aspirants creating unnecessary insinuations of their vague endorsements. His Excellency is a man who love due process which he has displayed in different capacities in the past and he will obviously ensure credible process when the time comes.”
Hon Ramsey who also used the medium to describe those clamouring for zoning formula as mischievous and selfish as every ethnic group has participated in all elections in the past also called for the PDP in the state to ensure a level playing ground to ensure the most credible candidate emerge.
“I am convinced beyond reasonable doubt as the most organized political party in Nigeria in term of internal party democracy our party will create level play ground to ensure the most credible candidate emerge there is no two ways about that.”
