ABOH/Nigeria: A call has gone to the people of Beneku community in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta state to continue to live in peace and unity for the purpose of more development.
The Okpala-Uku of Beneku community, His Royal Highness, Okwa Francis Ndego Okwuagu, made the call-in chat with newsmen in his palace at Beneku.
The Okpala-Uku who spoke through his son, Elder Anthony Okwuagu, said that peace was paramount to development, calling on the people of the area to always be peaceful, show love to one another and continue to be their brother’s keeper.
He said that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa was one of the most resourceful governor the state had witnessed, opining that Okowa was a promise keeper, adding that his administration had brought prosperity to the entire Delta as he promised during his electioneering campaign.
Senator Okowa and his team according to him brought notable developments to Beneku community, adding that his recent upliftment of Beneku community to a clan status, a 7.5 kilometres road with side drainage, construction of 400 metres bridge with an adjoining 3 kilometres road, and the attraction of the plant preparatory and propagation centre of Nigeria Agip Oil Company Limited, green project to Beneku were a pointer that Governor Okowa had the interest of the people and area at heart.
The okpala-uku said that Beneku people would continue to give their unalloyed support to the governor and his team, to enable the state move to a greater height.
He said with the recent elevation of Beneku to a clan status, that the community’s development will know no bound, calling on the entire sons and daughters of the community to join hands with the government and contribute their quota to the development of the area, saying that development is not meant for government alone but for all.
He urged the youths of Beneku to continue to be law abiding, abstain from actions that are capable of putting them in trouble.
The okpala-uku said youths should be hardworking and equally emulate the likes of Rt honourable Friday Osanebi, who according to him, attracted notable developments and empowerment to Beneku and Ndokwa nation at large, which earned him the name empowerment master.
