Birth Anniversary: Governor Oborevwori Extols Okpe Monarch

ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended felicitations to the Chairman of Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers and Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), on his birth anniversary.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the Governor praised the monarch, acknowledging him as “one of Nigeria’s foremost traditional rulers with decades of outstanding contribution to the peace and development of the Country.”

Governor Oborevwori lauded Orhue I’s unwavering commitment to the peace and progress of Okpe Kingdom, emphasizing his pivotal role in preserving the cultural heritage of the Okpe people and fostering development in Delta State.

He expressed gratitude for the monarch’s steadfast support to the state administration and acknowledged his role in unifying subjects and the entire traditional institution.

“As Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers, you have continued to show example as a peace advocate, an impeccable leader, and a symbol of humility and excellence in leadership,” Governor Oborevwori affirmed.

He further highlighted the monarch’s efforts in promoting harmony, socio-cultural cooperation, and peaceful co-existence among the Urhobos and other ethnic groups in Delta State.

The Governor concluded by extending heartfelt wishes to the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, praying for his continued good health, wisdom, and prolonged service to the kingdom, the state, and humanity.
