
ASABA/Nigeria: Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke, has joined in celebrating the Rector of Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, Olorogun Professor Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a goodwill message, Mr. Nwaeke hailed the Rector as an accomplished academic and administrator whose dedication to education and leadership continues to inspire many. He described Prof. Ufuophu-Biri as a “dear classmate, friend and brother” and a proud member of the indomitable Class of ’98, Mass Communication Department, Delta State University, Abraka.
The Speaker’s spokesman praised the celebrant’s journey from the lecture halls of Abraka to the leadership of one of Delta State’s foremost institutions, noting that his appointment as Rector is a testament to his scholarly achievements, expertise, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
“Today, we celebrate not just the passage of time but the remarkable journey of an academic, administrator, and reformer whose story inspires generations,” Nwaeke stated. “His leadership at the Delta State Polytechnic, Oghara, has brought progress and purpose, while his life remains a source of pride to all privileged to call him classmate, brother, and friend.”
He further prayed for Prof. Ufuophu-Biri to enjoy more years of good health, wisdom, and fulfillment, stressing that his accomplishments stand as a beacon of hope for the Class of ’98 and beyond.
Professor Ufuophu-Biri, a Professor of Mass Communication and Journalism, currently serves as Rector of the Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara. He holds the revered traditional title of Omoko of Oghara Kingdom, conferred on him in recognition of his outstanding service to education and humanity.
