Bishops of Anioma Pledges Support for Governor Okowa in 2019

ASABA/Nigeria: Association of Anioma Bishops has pledged to redouble their support for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa based on his landmark achievements in the last three years.
The president of the group Bishop Prayer Okoh and the Executive Assistant to the governor on Religious Matters, Bishop Greatman Nmalagu made the pledge at a meeting of the group held in Asaba.
They said the Christian community was proud that their son Senator Okowa has turned the whole state to a construction site and assured him of their prayers in the transformation of the state and his re-election bid.
The Bishops said they were happy that no part of the state was denied development projects and appealed to Deltans to sustain their support for the present administration for the accelerated transformation of all sectors of the state.
Bishop Okoh and Bishop Nmalagu outlined major projects to include the ongoing Asaba airport and stadium, the underground drainage in Asaba, massive tarring and rehabilitation of roads in riverine communities and upland as well as empowerment of youths, women and widows.
As the 2019 general elections draw close, the group called on politicians and their supporters to put the interest of the state above other considerations.
According to them Governor Okowa has fulfilled all his electioneering campaign promises pointing out that a fresh tenure in 2019 will pave way for more development programs in all sectors.
