
WARRI/Nigeria: Former Commissioner for Agriculture in Delta State, Chief Braduce Angozi, PhD, has extended warm felicitations to former Governor, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, on the occasion of his 67th birthday, describing him as a visionary leader whose legacy continues to shape the development of the state.
In a congratulatory message made available to the press on Monday, August 4, 2025, Angozi, who served in the Ibori administration, lauded the former governor for laying the foundation of modern governance in Delta State. He noted that Chief Ibori’s foresight in infrastructure, education, and human capital development remains unmatched.
“Chief Ibori is not only the architect of modern Delta but also a political institution whose influence transcends state boundaries,” Angozi stated. “Working with him as Commissioner for Agriculture exposed me to the depth of his commitment to grassroots empowerment and sustainable development.”
Angozi further described the former governor as a unifier and bridge-builder who transformed the political landscape of Delta State and championed the cause of equity and representation during his tenure from 1999 to 2007. According to him, Ibori’s leadership style paved the way for continuity and stability in the governance of the state.
He prayed for Chief Ibori’s continued good health and wisdom, expressing hope that the elder statesman would remain a guiding light and rallying point for progressive leadership in Delta and Nigeria at large.
