WARRI/Nigeria: Dr. Braduce Amakazi Angozi, businessman, and politician has called on Christians in Nigeria to continue to pray for the country, and not to be deterred by many negative occurrences in the country lately.
Dr. Braduce in his Easter message made available to journalists stated that the period of Easter comes with deep spiritual sacrifices, as it is the celebration of the burden Jesus Christ beard for mankind.
According to him, one of the reasons while Nigerians, especially Deltans should continue to pray and thank God for his mercies and grace, is for keeping them alive, especially with the global Coronavirus Pandemic that the world is just gradually coming out from.
He reminded them that last year Easter celebration was marred by the pandemic, though many friends and relations may had died, but the initial fear of massive death in Africa, was not to be.
“We have many reasons to celebrate, and many reasons to continue to pray during this time. By this time last year, the world, including our dear country, and state could not celebrate the annual festival of Easter. There was fear of the unknown because of the Coronavirus Pandemic.”
“We are gradually coming out of it, but we have other issues affecting our country, and dear state. The security situation in the country is one that is making everyone to be worried. The rising cases of kidnapping, killings and banditry is one reason we should continue to pray to overcome.”
He further stated that, insecurity and epidemic of any form derails economic and social development of any society, as resources will be channeled to other areas that will not impact on the social and economic growth of the people.
