Catholic Cleric Encourages Nigerians to Embrace Optimism in 2024 Despite Challenges

EFFURUN/Nigeria: In his New Year homily at St Anthony’s Catholic Church in Effurun, Delta State, Rev. Fr. Godwin Orudje has passionately urged Nigerians to embrace optimism despite the challenges gripping the nation due to subsidy removal impacting the cost of goods and services.

Fr. Orudje emphasized the need for Nigerians to maintain a hopeful outlook as the country confronts various challenges. He urged them not to let these trials obstruct what he believes is God’s abundant plan for Nigeria and its people in the year 2024.

“Let us not allow the current trials hinder God’s plan for the country and its people,” said the cleric, emphasizing that God holds blessings aplenty for Nigeria despite the adversities.

Speaking against negative prophesies from certain religious figures, Fr. Orudje encouraged citizens to approach the year with faith, firmly asserting that 2024 held greater promise.

Fr. Orudje also addressed the economic, political, and social obstacles confronting Nigeria, advising citizens not to be disheartened by these challenges. He stressed the importance of not letting the negative prophecies define the year but rather placing trust in God’s plan for peace, prosperity, and a brighter future.

Highlighting the role of citizens, the cleric urged Nigerians to contribute to realizing God’s plan by maintaining faith, praying for their leaders, and supporting the government in power.

As he concluded his homily, Fr. Orudje urged citizens to approach the New Year with unwavering faith, emphasizing their divine purpose in God’s larger plan for the nation’s glory and prosperity.
