CFAO Yamaha Motors, Continues to Champion Disability Education and Empower Child Amputees in Lagos Schools

LAGOS/Nigeria: In a dedicated effort to fulfill their mission of educating 10,000 children about disability and providing child amputees with prosthetic limbs, The IREDE Foundation has joined forces with CFAO Yamaha Motors to propagate the message of disability inclusion at Isolo Senior High School in Lagos State.

The event, which took place on October 4th, 2023, marked a significant step toward promoting independent and limitless lives for child amputees while raising awareness about disability to combat bullying and stigmatization.

The project, initiated to address the need for children with amputations to lead independent lives, found an eager and receptive audience in the students of Isolo Senior High School. Apart from engaging in an insightful conversation centered on disability, the students also received copies of the disability-focused comic book, “IREDIANS.”

The program received high praise from both teachers at the school and the members of the CFAO Yamaha Motors team who participated in the event. The IREDE Foundation expressed its gratitude for the unwavering support received from the Lagos State Ministry of Education, Education school districts, and school administrators, which contributed significantly to the project’s success.

This year, The IREDE Foundation has extended its reach to more than 20 government schools in Lagos State, aiming to spread the message of disability awareness far and wide. The foundation’s mission extends beyond this event, as it calls for inclusive learning environments in all schools to minimize the number of out-of-school children with disabilities.
