Chairman, Governing Council, Delta State College of Health Technology (DELSCOHTECH), Ofuoma-Ughelli, Dr (Pharm.) Nelson Ejakpovi has challenged youths to channel their energy into meaningful ventures.
Dr Ejakpovi made the call today (26/04/16) when members of Isoko National Youth Assembly (INYA) paid him a courtesy visit at the DELSCOHTECH, Ofuoma.
According to him, “the economic situation of the country does not mean you should be involved in negative actions, engage yourself in positive actions as youths.”
“For those who are unemployed, key into Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s agenda of prosperity by enrolling in different empowerment programmes of government,” he said, adding, “be patient, be prayerful, Rome was not built in a day, so, take it easy and be focused.”
While assuring the Isoko youths that he will do his best to reposition DELSCOHTECH to be among the best in the country, Dr Ejakpovi asserted, “at DELSCOHTECH, we have effective management and our students are well disciplined, we are proud of what we have.”
Earlier, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Youths and Community Development, Comrade Victor Egbo who led the Isoko Youths on the visit, congratulated Dr Ejakpovi on his appointment, expressing confidence in the ability of the trained Pharmacist to take DELSCOHTECH to greater heights and to the pride of Deltans.
“We are also here to inform you that our Governor, Dr Okowa is against any form of anti-social activities like cultism, armed robbery, kidnapping, rape, exam malpractice and as such, your students should be up and doing in whatever they are doing,” Comrade Egbo said.
