Chevron Presents Relief Materials to Flood Victims in Delta

WARRI/Nigeria: The management of Chevron Nigeria Plc has presented relief materials to Warri North Local Government Chairman, Hon. Aduge Okorodudu for distribution to flood ravaged communities in the area.

Presenting the relief materials which include 40 mouka foam mattresses, 50 bags of rice (50kg), 11 bags of garri (50kg), 10 bags of beans (100kg), 10 (20 litres) gallons of palm oil, 10 (20litres) gallons of vegetable oil, 16 bags of salt (50kg), 50 bags of tissue paper and 5 bags of Omo detergent (50kg) to the council boss at the council secretariat, the General Manager, Policy, Government and Public Affairs, Mr Esimaje Brikinn noted that the move was to fulfil their corporate responsibility as a company to their host communities.

Receiving the items, the Council Chairman, represented by the Secretary to the Council and Chairman Flood Committee, Engr Victor German, thanked the company for the symbiotic relationship existing between them and their host communities in the Council area.

He however urged the company not to relent in its effort in assisting the communities in times of disaster and emphasized the need for sustaining the cordial relationship with the communities.

Hon. Aduge expressed gratitude to God who made it possible for the Council area to survive the flood this year and in turn commended the state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for his immense contributions towards ameliorating the plight of flood victims in the area.

He also thanked His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli, the Olu of Warri, and His Majesty, Gold Tiemo the Agadagada of Egbema kingdom for their continued support to the Council area.
