Chicago State University Official Testifies Under Oath: President Tinubu’s Certificate a ‘Forgery’

ABUJA/Nigeria: In a significant development, an official from Chicago State University (CSU) has given sworn testimony, asserting that the replacement certificate submitted by President Bola Tinubu to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is not a valid document from the university, raising serious concerns of forgery.

The Registrar of Chicago State University, Carl Wesberg, appeared under oath for a deposition on the heels of Judge Nancy Maldonado’s recent ruling in the petition concerning Bola Tinubu’s academic records at CSU. During his testimony, Wesberg emphasized that the school’s logo featured on the replacement certificate is not recognized by the institution.

The deposition process, which unfolded over more than five hours, concluded around 9:30 pm Nigerian time. At the time of this report, efforts were underway to finalize the deposition document for transmission to Atiku Abubakar’s legal team in Nigeria.

It is worth noting that one of the key points of contention in the legal challenge brought forth by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, against President Tinubu is the alleged non-qualification based on the purported forgery of academic documents.

As anticipation mounts, both Nigerians and international observers await the full transcript of the deposition, as this case continues to captivate widespread attention.
