UYO/Nigeria: The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, has urged the Nigerian International Coastal Border Platform to devise workable solutions to the persistent disputes along Nigeria’s coastal boundaries.

Speaking at the inaugural summit of the platform in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Onyeme emphasized the urgent need to strengthen border governance and tackle maritime insecurity to unlock the full potential of the blue economy. The summit was declared open by the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, with remarks from the Chairman of the Nigerian International Coastal Border Platform, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo. Other key speakers included the Deputy Governors of Akwa Ibom, Ogun, the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogana, and Director-General of the National Boundary Commission, Surv.
