OKPANAM/Nigeria: Youths have again been described as key agents of positive change in any given society.
The outgoing chairman of Ogbeozoma youths organisation, Comr. Smart Ifesindi stated this in Okpanam in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State shortly after he led some of executive members to supervise the arrival of a newly procured 500KVA transformer for Ogbeozoma community which was facilitated by his administration.
Comr. Smart Ifesindi said that he was overwhelmed with joy that his administration in collaboration with the people of the quarter procured the transformer, adding that his administration had not only ensured that electricity was restored in the area but also carried out other activities such as maintenance of roads in the area.
While appealing to the state government to come to the aid of the community with accessible roads as well as other social infrastructure, Comr. Ifesindi advised youths in the area to engage themselves in meaningful ventures.
He lauded youths in the area for their support for his administration even as he urged aspirants for various positions in their forthcoming election that see it as a family affair.
Comr. Ifesindi specifically stressed the need for them to embrace skill acquisition so as to enable them be self reliant.
Also speaking to newsmen, pioneer chairman of Ogbeozoma youths organisation, Mr. Sunday Nwanze enjoined the incoming executive to be more focused on selfless service and contribute modestly towards the growth and development of Ogbeozoma community.
