OBIARUKU/Nigeria: The Councillor representing ward 6B Amai, Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Gift Anazie has been commended for organizing a health empowerment programme for the people of her ward.
The people of Ward 6B in separate interview with newsmen at Awai described her as a Politician that had the interest of the people and her ward at heart.
Mr Happy Otuya and Terry Ojugbeli, said the free medical programme was the first of its kind by a Councillor since the existence of Amai, saying that the health programme had addressed the health needs of the people of ward 6B.
They said Hon. Anazie organized the programme few days after her swearing-in as councillor, praying to God to continue to protect her and her family.
They also said that the Councillor invited five Medical Doctors from different fields to give health talks and equally administered drugs on the people with various ailments and pledged to continue to give their unalloyed support to her to move her ward to an enviable height.
Hon. Gift Anazie, who spoke to newsmen during the programme called on the people of ward 6B to take advantage of the state government contributory health scheme to improve their health conditions.
She said that she decided to organize the health programme to enable her give the needed health support to the people of her ward, because according to her, health is wealth.
While saying the people of her ward were important to her, she assured them of continuous assistance, adding that she appreciated them for giving her their support and finding her worthy to serve them.
