Hon. Eyikimi & Hon. Fomboh
WARRI/Nigeria: The lawmakers representing Orugbo and Ode-Itsekiri Wards in the Warri South Legislative Arm, Delta State, Hon. Fomboh Misan and Hon. Oris Eyekimi have charged their constituents to adhere and comply with the Delta State government lockdown order directing people to stay at home in order to curb the spread of the Coronavirus, COVID-19.
The Lawmakers gave the charge recently at their various Wards, while presenting stable food items to cushion the adverse effect the sit at home order by Delta Government may have on them.
Some of the food items donated are: bags of rice, garri, beans, cartons of indomie, onions and other associated kitchen groceries to serve as palliative.
Hon. Fomboh whose constituency is made of densely populated people courts across Orugbo town, Ajigba. Inorin, Usele. Ugbodede, Kpisan and other adjoining communities, he urged the people to remain calm and key into the state government directive to stay alive and be safe, even as he wished the a happy Easter celebration 2020 amidst the Covid-19 lockdown directive.
The member of the Warri South legislature pointed out that despite donating food items to the people his aim is also to sensitize them about the reality of Coronavirus, advising the people to wash their hands regularly with running water and sanitiser as well as maintain social distancing and avoid crowded places.
While assuring that soon food supply will be sent to the constituents courtesy of Delta State government from the food bank created to serve as palliative measures in the lockdown, Hon. Fomboh averred that they will always collaborate and work together with policies of Chairman of Warri South Local Government Council, Hon. Dr. Michael Tidi in taking the local government to higher level.
A leader in the ward Mr. Yemiete also assisted in providing succour to the people of Orugbo, Ode-Itsekiri and other communities making up one of the federal ward in the Warri riverine communities.
