ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Contributory Health Commission said it will continue its operations during the Shutdown period for COVID-19 Pandemic to enable enrollees of the Health Scheme continue to receive healthcare services.
The Director General/Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ben Nkechika, stated this during a Management Meeting of the Commission. He emphasized that for Enrollees to continue to have access to healthcare services, there was the need for the Commission to continue its full operation during the lock-down period.
The DG/CEO therefore called on all staff of the commission to follow the established DSCHC operations protocol during the shutdown period and support all activities of the DTSG/SMOH COVID-19 Response activities.
The DG/CEO also called out to all enrollees and Deltans who may experience any challenges in accessing healthcare services during the shutdown period or experience symptoms associated with Corona Virus, to call the DTSG COVID- 19 response team or the DSCHC COVID-19 Support Team phone numbers for access support and medical service guidance.
He encouraged all enrollees of the scheme to obey the two weeks shut down of the Delta State Government so that the state will remain COVID-19 free.
