ASABA/Nigeria: With calls for the review of the imposed curfew at the beginning of the Novel coronavirus Pandemic, which had become a source of extortion by the agencies of government empowered to enforce the lockdown to check the spread of the virus, the Delta State Government has adjusted the curfew which was earlier from 7:00pm to 6:30am to a new period of 10:00pm to 5:30am.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Bar. Chiedu Ebie, it also stated that government has approved resumption of normal trading activities in all markets across the state. While cinemas, bars in hostels and beer parlours remain closed while restaurant and eateries are to continue to serve their customers on a take away, even as Government will shut them down if found not adhering to Covid-19 measures.
The State Governments also urge all Deltans and residents to continue to adhere to all covid-19 protocols and guidelines which includes regular washing of hands, wearing of facemask, maintaining of physical and social distancing in order to reduce the spread of the virus
