ABUJA/Nigeria: Senator Ede Dafinone has congratulated Senator (Chief) Ighoyota Amori, PhD, on the occasion of his 73rd birthday, describing him as a towering figure in Nigeria’s political landscape and a revered custodian of Urhobo tradition.
In a statement personally signed and released on Thursday, Senator Dafinone, who represents Delta Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, said Chief Amori’s legacy of political mentorship, cultural leadership, and service to the Urhobo Nation stands as a shining example for the younger generation.
“Chief Amori remains a towering figure in our national political landscape and a respected custodian of Urhobo tradition. Over the years, his unwavering commitment to public service, political mentorship, and cultural leadership has earned him a revered place among Nigeria’s most dependable elder statesmen,” Dafinone stated.
He further extolled the celebrant’s commitment to the progress of Delta State and his tireless efforts in fostering unity within the Urhobo Nation.
“His dedication to the unity and progress of the Urhobo Nation and the development of Delta State is commendable and deeply appreciated,” the senator said.
