ABUJA/Nigeria: Senator Ede Dafinone has congratulated the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), Orhue I, on the occasion of his birthday, describing the revered monarch as a pillar of peace, unity, and progressive leadership in Delta State.
In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the Dafinone family and the people of Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Dafinone extolled the Orodje’s unwavering commitment to the development and harmony of the Okpe Kingdom, noting that his reign continues to embody dignity, wisdom, and uncommon dedication to the welfare of his people.
He stated that Okpe Kingdom has experienced remarkable development and measurable economic growth under the monarch’s guidance, crediting his foresight for strengthening institutions, attracting investments, and uplifting communities. According to the senator, the Orodje’s exemplary leadership has sustained Okpe as a model for purposeful and progressive traditional governance.
“As the Scriptures say, ‘When the righteous is on the throne, the people rejoice.’ Your Majesty’s leadership has brought pride, unity, and progress to our people,” Dafinone said, praising the monarch’s impactful legacy.
The senator also lauded the Orodje’s role as Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, describing him as a stabilising voice in fostering ethnic cohesion, peaceful coexistence, and socio-political stability across the state. He noted that the monarch’s diplomacy and fatherly counsel have remained invaluable during critical moments in Delta’s development.
