ABUJA/Nigeria: Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has joined other dignitaries and top security officials in celebrating the elevation of Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Dankwara, to the prestigious rank of Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG).
The official decoration ceremony, held on Monday, October 28, 2025, was described as a moment of pride and progress in the Nigeria Police Force’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its leadership structure and reward excellence within its ranks.
In his congratulatory message, Senator Dafinone commended DIG Dankwara for what he described as “remarkable professionalism, discipline, and unwavering dedication to duty.” He said the promotion was a well-deserved recognition of the officer’s long-standing service and invaluable contributions to national security, noting that such achievements reflect the rewards of consistency and integrity in public service.
